Its a pretty good bike overall, a Little more civilized than a 600rr. The carbs are kind of a downside when compared to something like an FZ6. 2003-2006 CB599's are the pretty much the same so there is no advantage to the 2006 as far as I know. The 2000-2002 weren't much different mechanically.
